READERS mzine

Where readers and authors get together to share the joy of books

About

PatZi — with a Z!

PatZi is the Creator & Host of Joy on Paper, the syndicated radio program for writers and those who dream of writing. She launched the show on St. Patrick's Day in 2015 with a simple idea: let authors tell the stories behind their books — and let readers listen in.

More than a decade later, that conversation has grown to over 2,000 radio interviews. Her guests have included 12 Mystery Writers of America Grand Masters, two dozen global bestselling authors, over 400 New York Times bestselling authors, dozens of celebrities and military heroes, Pulitzer Prize–winning authors — and even the US Poet Laureate. Just as dear to her: the hundreds of debut authors, traditionally published and indie alike, who gave their very first interview on Joy on Paper.

“Inspiring you to read more — plus writing tips…”

In 2023, the show went visual with Joy on Paper LIVE! on YouTube, now home to more than 200 interviews you can watch.

Then came Readers mZINE

Readers mZINE is PatZi's digital magazine — made for readers. Each issue gathers author interviews, behind-the-book stories, short fiction, reader quizzes, and the books you should not miss. The inaugural edition arrived in May 2026, and this site is where every new issue, event, writing contest, and class will be announced.

Why no social media?

There are only so many hours in the day. Rather than feed the feeds, PatZi spends that time doing what she loves: talking to authors, sharing their ‘behind the book’ stories, and telling readers about the books worth their precious reading hours. Everything worth knowing lands right here — and in the mZINE.
